The Coronavirus pandemic has brought a time of uncertainty, questions, and concerns to our Glenwood Springs community and beyond. However, despite all of the changes and closures, this has been a true testament to the fact that when we all come together, great things can happen.
That being said, we’re asking that our residents, staff, and visitors continue to find ways to support our growing community over the next few weeks. Here are some ideas for ways you can show your care for your favorite, local businesses and neighbors during the COVID-19 pandemic:
1. Order takeout from a local restaurant
Many eateries have expanded to offer curbside pickup and food delivery through local services such as KraveKar. An extensive list of Glenwood Springs restaurants offering pickup from the Glenwood Springs Chamber Resort Association is linked below!
2. Purchase a gift card from local small businesses
If a business, boutique, service-based company, or restaurant is unable to offer their services at this time, buy now and shop later! Purchase a gift card or pay for your services in advance to support the local shops.
3. Show your support with an online review or social media follow
If you’ve been looking for a reason to follow a Glenwood Springs business on social media or leave them a little love on Google, Facebook, or Yelp, this is it.
Leaving a review online for small businesses can go a long way in boosting their online visibility. Send your favorite restaurants, retailers, and companies some stars and leave them a review on Yelp, Facebook, or Google!*
Many Glenwood Springs businesses are also not only providing updates on their hours and products, but also spreading words of positivity on social media. Look to their content for inspiration and ideas, but also give it a ‘like’ to show that you’re listening.

*Google reviews are currently experiencing limited functionality due to COVID-19. Unfortunately, reviews may not show up due to restrictions that are in place. For more information on how this impacts Google My Business, view their response here.
4. Donate where and how you can
Shelters and food banks in the Valley are primarily looking for food and canned good donations at this time. As the demand for essential products has become greater, their supply continues to diminish. Donate if you’re able!
5. Check in on your neighbors, friends and family
This is a tough time to navigate for more than one reason. Check in on your elderly family members, friends and neighbors to see if you can deliver groceries to their doorstep, help them make a homemade mask, or simply say ‘hello.’
6. Thank those that are who are protecting our community
Take the time to recognize our doctors, nurses, medical staff, public health department, military, police, firefighters, and first responders who are working around the clock to help control the spread of COVID-19. Use your creativity to hang your ‘thanks’ in your windows!
7. Schedule a virtual tour of Six Canyon apartments
Last but not least, here’s how you can support us. Contact our team at info@sixcayon.com to schedule a virtual, FaceTime, or over-the-phone tour of our brand-new Glenwood Springs apartments. We can assure you that extra precautions are being taken before and after each new move-in.
